And So it Begins

There comes a point in (most) everyone's life where they must make a critical decision... To start a blog? Or to not start a blog? From what I've heard, blogging seems to be like a gigantic whirlpool. Once you're in your STUCK with little chance of getting out. And while to some the risk seems exciting (or even desirable) other shudder at the thought of having another connection to the big bermuda triangle of the world wide web. I mean really -- facebook isn't enough?

Therefore, this is a big decision to make. It takes commitment, dedication, fast fingers, and enough money for serious therapy (if in case all goes wrong). So here I am. A new blogger, in a new world having new experiences. I wish you to wish me luck!

My decision to succumb to blogging came when my friend Elise said, "Jenny, you need to start a blog," and my vocal response was, "Sure thing! You bet!" Inside I said, "um, maybe I should post a status first? I mean it's been about 3 years." Nevertheless, I agreed.

So now let's get to the nitty gritty. Who is this self acclaimed "FINE GARDNER"?? First of all, this can obviously be taken two ways. The first is literal. The first job I had out of college was in Connecticut, and my official job title was "Fine Gardening Crew Leader." I tried to get them to add "Extraordinaire" to the end but I guess they didn't catch my vision.

The second definition for fine gardner can be taken as you wish. I personally just like to think I'm dang FINE. That's right, I said it. I'm fine. And being a 25 year old girl working in the dirt with guys all day, I HAVE to believe I'm fine! Otherwise I'd wilt like a poor little flower without any water or fertilizer. And who wants a wilted flower? Actually one of my favorite things in the whole wide world is reviving plants. It's great to see them perk up after an especially harsh treatment. They are so happy afterwords and they almost always outshine themselves! Nevertheless, it's always better to keep a flower from wilting than to try and revive it. Therefore I will continue to wear makeup and paint my nails. What can I say? I'm a girly girl at heart.

So that's how the story goes. If you're interested in hearing more about it, stick around! I'm happy to open up my garden. Garden's are meant to be shared. And please feel free to share your garden with me. When it comes down to it, I just can't get enough!

HAPPY PLANTING!
